Cena Jinřicha Chalupeckého Finále 2007

All texts used in these three videos were selected from print advertisements. The materials chosen from were always a year's worth of the daily Dnes and Reflex and Time IN magazines. Each of the three videos corresponds to one of the aforementioned media sources. All statements or recommendations were used that do not have any direct relation to the offered product. Each text was used only once. The texts are arranged in alphabetical order, 84% in Czech, 16% in English. The individual letters are in order and move along in an interval of 4 letters per second. A black letter always alternates with a white one, resulting in a stroboscopic effect. The objective was to create a vast amount of text bordering on legibility. The repetitive piano accompaniment is by artist-musician Aphex Twin. The project features pins with various slogans to be distributed during the opening.
