During the course of the exhibition, the etc. gallery was closed and its window covered with newspapers to evoke an abandoned space. A video capturing the installation in the C2C gallery (the exhibition was a joint project of the two galleries) was projected on the window from the inside. This documentary film capturing a “live” aspect of the exhibition's production served as an imaginary portal in time and space, connecting the two galleries.
The second part of The Enormous Space project took place on Saturday, 28 October 2006 in our gallery. As part of the opening and closing, visitors could see the computer projection of Jonathan Bryan, the performance of Eddie Peake, the video-projection of groups related to The Enormous Space initiative such as George Polke or Parade, and a multi-functional installation created by Ed Clive and Fiona James.
