The curated film selection presents artistic and speculative visions of space exploration that are not grounded in the conquest of distant territories or their monetisation. Instead, it understands human journeys through these inaccessible spaces as expressions of fragility and of a longing for home and closeness. Drawing on their own colonial experiences, Larissa Sansour and Nelly Ben Hayoun-Stépanian tell stories of cosmic spaces where it becomes possible to imagine freer futures without reproducing earthly structures of power and violence.
