The screening selection Soft Reset explores the techniques and rituals through which we seek to regulate our emotional experiences and overcome feelings of overwhelm. Spanning wellness practices, spiritual interventions and therapeutic methods, the selected videos present different strategies of self-fashioning and self-care. With a mix of absurdity and unease, they capture moments when the search for relief becomes yet another task, while responsibility for systemic problems is shifted onto the individual. Together, they raise questions about what we expect from these practices, what forms relief can take, and where self-care begins to overlap with the pressure to constantly transform ourselves.
