V roce 1956 se thanatologick\u00e9 symposium pokusilo o studium smrti, um\u00edr\u00e1n\u00ed a ztr\u00e1ty bl\u00edzk\u00e9ho \u010dlov\u011bka vzbudit z\u00e1jem ve\u0159ejnosti a podn\u00edtit zkoum\u00e1n\u00ed probl\u00e9mu smrti a jej\u00edm vztahu k chov\u00e1n\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"cs-CZ\">O sto let pozd\u011bji se postoj ke smrti radik\u00e1ln\u011b prom\u011bnil, smrt se zm\u011bnila v performance. Spole\u010dn\u00e1 \u00fa\u010dast na smrti, reklam\u011b, vl\u00e1d\u011b, podniku a pedagogice p\u0159edstavovaly symptomatick\u00e9 projevy nov\u00e9 liber\u00e1ln\u011b-demokratick\u00e9 vn\u00edmavosti pov\u00e1le\u010dn\u00fdch ob\u010dan\u016f-konzument\u016f. Smrt jako performance oproti tomu oslovila podnikatele informa\u010dn\u00edho v\u011bku, posedl\u00fdch informacemi o sob\u011b.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"cs-CZ\">Hyperthymestick\u00fd RK je fiktivn\u00ed postavou. Narodil se uprost\u0159ed t\u00e9to zm\u011bny, n\u011bkdy mezi Sino-britsk\u00fdm spole\u010dn\u00fdm prohl\u00e1\u0161en\u00edm a vyho\u0161t\u011bn\u00edm Ital\u016f z Libye. Narodil se rodi\u010d\u016fm vy\u0161\u0161\u00ed st\u0159edn\u00ed t\u0159\u00eddy, kte\u0159\u00ed sami poch\u00e1zeli z d\u011blnick\u00fdch pom\u011br\u016f, trp\u011bl p\u0159em\u00edrou vzd\u011bl\u00e1n\u00ed, kter\u00e9 nep\u0159\u00edslu\u0161elo jeho vrstv\u011b. N\u011bkolik let se zab\u00fdval znalostn\u00ed ekonomi\u00ed v roli n\u00edzko postaven\u00e9ho \u00fa\u0159edn\u00edka v soukrom\u00e9m sektoru. Pot\u00e9 se za\u010dal toulat jako s\u00e1m sebe analyzuj\u00edc\u00ed pokusn\u00fd kr\u00e1l\u00edk a dodavatel mozkov\u00fdch vzork\u016f. \u00daloha um\u011bn\u00ed ve spole\u010dnosti se v p\u0159edchoz\u00edch generac\u00ed vy\u010derpala, p\u0159esto se RK rozhodl vystupovat jako \u201eum\u011blec\u201c. Komediantsk\u00e9 gesto bylo pro n\u011bj nejbl\u00ed\u017e tomu skute\u010dn\u011b n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00e9mu. V p\u0159etechnologizovan\u00e9m sv\u011bt\u011b, kter\u00fd uct\u00edval tv\u016fr\u010d\u00ed v\u016fd\u010d\u00ed osobnosti a jejich v\u0161udyp\u0159\u00edtomn\u00e9 soci\u00e1ln\u00ed s\u00edt\u011b, um\u011bleck\u00e1 praxe (tak \u0159\u00edkali v t\u00e9 dob\u011b um\u011bn\u00ed) zastarala a brzy ji nahradilo utilit\u00e1rn\u00ed \u201eestetick\u00e9 poradenstv\u00ed\u201c.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"cs-CZ\">Kdy\u017e se RK bl\u00ed\u017eil sedmdes\u00e1tce, za\u010dal pl\u00e1novat svou vlastn\u00ed smrt. Rozhodl se pro euthan\u00e1zii, proto\u017ee tak mohl darovat sv\u016fj hyperthymestick\u00fd mozek Mozkov\u00e9 observato\u0159i v lep\u0161\u00edm stavu. Pokud byl mozek slavn\u00e9ho Henryho Molaisona, jen\u017e trp\u011bl amn\u00e9zi\u00ed, t\u00edm v\u00fdsostn\u00fdm modern\u00edm mozkem, jemu nad\u0159azen\u00e1 autobiografick\u00e1 pam\u011b\u0165 u\u010dinila z RK nejreprezentativn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed p\u0159\u00edpadovou studii ran\u00e9ho dvac\u00e1t\u00e9ho prvn\u00edho stolet\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"cs-CZ\">Mozkov\u00e1 observato\u0159, kam RK cht\u011bl dodat sv\u016fj mozek, nebyla \u017e\u00e1dn\u00fdm skladem konzervuj\u00edc\u00ed historick\u00fd materi\u00e1l nebo katalogizuj\u00edc\u00edm pracovi\u0161t\u011bm klinick\u00e9ho v\u00fdzkumu na zp\u016fsob mozkov\u00fdch bank \u010di archiv\u016f. \u0160lo tu m\u00edsto toho o zachov\u00e1n\u00ed a uchov\u00e1n\u00ed jak fyzick\u00e9 materiality tak abstraktn\u00edho obsahu darovan\u00fdch mozk\u016f pro blaho budouc\u00edch ctihodn\u00fdch z\u00e1jemc\u016f. Ve dvac\u00e1t\u00e9m prvn\u00edm stolet\u00ed ur\u010dovala budoucnost p\u0159\u00edtomnost a stala se neomezenou. Mozek v observato\u0159i musel b\u00fdt proto uchov\u00e1n spolu s p\u0159\u00edb\u011bhy, p\u0159edm\u011bty a fotografiemi.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"cs-CZ\">Mozek \u201ena pozorov\u00e1n\u00ed\u201c, uskladn\u011bn\u00fd v syst\u00e9mu mrtvoln\u00fdch scan\u016f a osobn\u00edch artefakt\u016f, v\u016fbec nen\u00ed mozkem nalo\u017een\u00fdm ve sklenici, ale s\u00e9ri\u00ed mikrotomov\u00fdch d\u00edlk\u016f na skl\u00ed\u010dk\u00e1ch. Digitalizac\u00ed a scanov\u00e1n\u00edm vznikne t\u0159\u00edrozm\u011brn\u00fd model a digit\u00e1ln\u00ed mozkov\u00e1 fos\u00edlie je pak zv\u011b\u010dn\u011bna na internetu. N\u011bkde v ne p\u0159\u00edli\u0161 vzd\u00e1len\u00e9 budoucnosti umo\u017en\u00ed v\u00fdvoj informa\u010dn\u00ed technologie jednotlivci nesmrtelnost.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"cs-CZ\">Prvn\u00ed d\u00edl z\u00e1pisk\u016f virtu\u00e1ln\u00ed postavy RK je sc\u00e9nografick\u00fdm internetov\u00fdm dramatem, v n\u011bm\u017e se RK seznamuje s tajemn\u00fdm budouc\u00edm u\u017eivatelem mozkov\u00e9 knihovny, jak\u00fdmsi podivn\u00fdm dvojn\u00edkem. U\u017eivatel telepaticky krou\u017e\u00ed radiovou krajinou \u00fadol\u00ed Sorrento, kde se mu poda\u0159ilo lokalizovat Mozkovou observato\u0159 pomoc\u00ed zdokonalen\u00e9ho mozkovo-po\u010d\u00edta\u010dov\u00e9ho rozhran\u00ed. Jeho z\u00e1pisky dopl\u0148uje projekce 16-mm stop\u00e1\u017ee filmov\u00e9 krajiny, co\u017e je zat\u00edm neukon\u010den\u00fd projekt. Film vznikl ve spolupr\u00e1ci s um\u011blkyn\u00ed Christinou C. Nguyen.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"cs-CZ\">Emily Verla Bovino (nar. 1980) je autorkou fiktivn\u00ed postavy hyperthymestick\u00e9ho RK a zprost\u0159edkovatelkou setk\u00e1n\u00ed RK s okoln\u00edm sv\u011btem. Jej\u00ed projekt je epick\u00fdm sc\u00e9nografick\u00fdm radio dramatem o krajin\u00e1ch p\u0159\u00edb\u011bh\u016f, s nimi\u017e se virtu\u00e1ln\u00ed identita RK potk\u00e1v\u00e1 v pr\u016fb\u011bhu sv\u00e9ho \u017eivota, a to od pozdn\u00edch devades\u00e1t\u00fdch let a\u017e do poloviny pades\u00e1t\u00fdch let jednadvac\u00e1t\u00e9ho stolet\u00ed. Um\u011bleck\u00fd v\u00fdzkum, kter\u00fd projektu p\u0159edch\u00e1zel, zahrnuje pracovn\u00ed s\u00e9rii nazvanou \u201eCo bychom m\u011bli d\u011blat s na\u0161imi mozky\u201c. Je to reakce na knihu Catherine Malabou \u201eCo bychom m\u011bli d\u011blat s na\u0161imi mozky\u201c. Zahrnuje \u010dl\u00e1nky, koncepty, \u010dasov\u00e9 osy, neform\u00e1ln\u00ed rozhovory, p\u0159edn\u00e1\u0161ky a p\u0159edn\u00e1\u0161kov\u00e9 performance, je\u017e \u010derpaj\u00ed z d\u011bjin um\u011bn\u00ed a v\u00fdvoje v neurov\u011bd\u011b a usiluj\u00ed osv\u011btlit v\u00fdznam v jeho oby\u010dejnosti. Emily Verla Bovino v sou\u010dasn\u00e9 dob\u011b vede sv\u016fj v\u00fdzkum v texask\u00e9m m\u011bst\u011b Marfa a pracuje na doktor\u00e1tu z d\u011bjin um\u011bn\u00ed, teorie, kritiky a praxe na Kated\u0159e vizu\u00e1ln\u00edho um\u011bn\u00ed Kalifornsk\u00e9 univerzity, kterou zalo\u017eil um\u011blec Allan Kaprow. Jej\u00ed texty se objevily v Artforum.com, Frieze a Art Papers. Prvn\u00ed d\u00edl z\u00e1pisk\u016f RK se vys\u00edlal online p\u0159i p\u0159\u00edle\u017eitosti kon\u00e1n\u00ed festivalu &amp;Now 2011.
