Jej\u00ed tvorbu zcela poznamenal v\u00e1le\u010dn\u00fd konflikt na \u00fazem\u00ed b\u00fdval\u00e9 Jugosl\u00e1vie, a tak je jej\u00ed pr\u00e1ce promy\u0161lenou post-konceptu\u00e1ln\u00ed hrou s osobn\u00ed a spole\u010denskou pam\u011bt\u00ed, kterou konfrontuje s dokumentaristickou prax\u00ed a medi\u00e1ln\u00ed realitou.Pr\u00e1ce \u0160ejly Kameri\u0107 jsou v\u017edy napln\u011bny siln\u00fdm emotivn\u00edm n\u00e1bojem, stejn\u011b tak se vyzna\u010duj\u00ed \u00faporn\u00fdm minimalismem, podn\u00edcen\u00fdm jej\u00edm vzd\u011bl\u00e1n\u00edm v grafick\u00e9m designu. Dok\u00e1\u017ee p\u0159ej\u00edmat jazyk reklamn\u00edho a medi\u00e1ln\u00edho sv\u011bta, ale tyto strategie obrac\u00ed proti otup\u011bl\u00e9mu div\u00e1kovi, kter\u00fd je ji\u017e p\u0159esycen medi\u00e1ln\u00edmi obrazy. Jej\u00ed pr\u00e1ce vyjad\u0159uj\u00ed mnoh\u00e1 traumata v\u00e1le\u010dn\u00fdch konflikt\u016f i samotn\u00e9ho postaven\u00ed \u017eeny ve spole\u010dnosti &#8211; d\u016fle\u017eit\u00fdm bodem jej\u00ed tvorby je jej\u00ed vlastn\u00ed t\u011blo. A\u0165 ji\u017e fotografuje sebe samu, jak ji zn\u00e1me z jej\u00edho nejzn\u00e1m\u011bj\u0161\u00edho d\u00edla Bosnian Girl, \u010di introspektivn\u00ed fotografie Sorrow (odkazuj\u00edc\u00ed ke kresb\u011b van Gogha) nebo jako\u017eto neviditeln\u00e9ho \u00fa\u010dastn\u00edka d\u011bje v p\u016fsobiv\u00e9 fotografii z prvn\u00edho dne palestinsk\u00e9 druh\u00e9 intif\u00e1dy We Were Chilling By the Pool When The War Started. V t\u011bchto i jin\u00fdch d\u00edlech ale nevytv\u00e1\u0159\u00ed m\u00fdtus ego-um\u011blce, ale \u00fasporn\u00fdmi prost\u0159edky zd\u016fraz\u0148uje celospole\u010densk\u00e9 soukol\u00ed drt\u00edc\u00ed individualitu \u2028(\u010di pam\u011b\u0165) jednotlivce.Film 1395 Days without Red vznikl jako um\u011bleck\u00e1 spolupr\u00e1ce \u0160ejly Kameri\u0107 a alb\u00e1nsk\u00e9ho um\u011blce Anriho Saly, kdy se posl\u00e9ze ka\u017ed\u00fd z nich rozhodl vytvo\u0159it vlastn\u00ed verzi nato\u010den\u00e9ho materi\u00e1lu. D\u011bj se op\u011bt odehr\u00e1v\u00e1 v m\u00edst\u011b zasa\u017een\u00e9m v\u00e1lkou, v dusiv\u00e9m bez\u010das\u00ed okupovan\u00e9ho Sarajeva v letech 1992 a\u017e 1996. V izolovan\u00e9m m\u011bst\u011b jeho obyvatel\u00e9, pokud se ji\u017e rozhodli vyrazit ze sv\u00fdch domov\u016f, si nikdy neobl\u00e9kli na ulici sv\u011btl\u00e9 oble\u010den\u00ed, proto\u017ee by byli snadnou \u201cko\u0159ist\u00ed\u201d srbsk\u00fdch ost\u0159elova\u010d\u016f ukryt\u00fdch v kopc\u00edch kolem m\u011bsta. K t\u011bmto skute\u010dnostem odkazuje v\u00fdmluvn\u00fd n\u00e1zev cel\u00e9ho d\u00edla.1395 Days without Red se nevyzna\u010duje p\u0159\u00edli\u0161nou narativitou, naopak podtrhuje bez\u010das\u00ed a \u00fazkost st\u00edsn\u011bn\u00e9ho prost\u0159ed\u00ed zam\u011b\u0159en\u00edm na jedn\u00e1n\u00ed jedin\u00e9 postavy filmu, ztv\u00e1rn\u011bn\u00e9 \u0161pan\u011blskou here\u010dkou Maribel Verd\u00fa, kter\u00e1 p\u0159edstavuje charismatickou a elegantn\u00ed \u017eenu p\u0159eb\u00edhaj\u00edc\u00ed po uli\u010dk\u00e1ch Sarajeva. V\u00fdraznou slo\u017ekou filmu je hudba: \u010cajkovsk\u00e9ho \u0160estou symfonii hraje Sarajevsk\u00fd filharmonick\u00fd orchestr pod veden\u00edm Ariho Benjamina Meyera. V\u0161echny filmov\u00e9 sc\u00e9ny a obrazy jsou prov\u00e1zan\u00e9 nesamoz\u0159ejm\u00fdm dotekem um\u011bn\u00ed, tak ne\u010dekan\u00e9ho v obdob\u00ed v\u00e1lky. Agrese a n\u00e1sil\u00ed zde nen\u00ed akcentov\u00e1no explicitn\u00edm zobrazen\u00edm, naopak cel\u00fd film je napln\u011bn principem, kter\u00fd by se snad dal pojmenovat jako chyb\u011bn\u00ed. Toto chyb\u011bn\u00ed je pr\u016fse\u010d\u00edkem mnoha odst\u0159ediv\u00fdch p\u0159\u00edstup\u016f ke spole\u010dn\u00fdm vzpom\u00ednk\u00e1m, osobn\u00edmu pro\u017e\u00edv\u00e1n\u00ed, medi\u00e1ln\u00ed realit\u011b a narativn\u00ed fikci.
